One of the world’s top a;bums this month is the 56-year-old Revolver, released by The Beatles in 1966.

It’s been remixed by Giles Martin, the son of the man who helped make the original, George Martin.

Many Beatles fans, me included, rate this as their best album. It was a landmark in so many ways: the start of psychedelia, the emergence of George Harrison as a great songwriter, and studio technology growing to facilitate the increasingly out there sounds the fab four wanted to make.

And then there’s the drugs. So many Beatles songs were said to be about drugs, usually wrongly. On Revolver, there’s one song that definitely was.
